Francophonie on the Road

The Isbourne Language hub hosted a ‘Francophonie’ workshop in late March. The workshop was run by the Institut Français and supported by the National Consortium for Languages Education (a Department for Education programme promoting foreign modern language learning).

The Francophonie workshop offered students from The Cotswold School, Pittville, Dean Academy and Chosen Hill the opportunity to take part in a series of activities to acquire cultural and linguistic knowledge of French. We were delighted to welcome Marcie, Flore and Margaux from the Institut Français to run the event. Students used virtual reality headsets to discover the cathedral Notre Dame; made clay gargoyles following a talk about the history of Notre Dame and learnt about the Olympics, ahead of Paris 2024.
